Fernan Lake is one of Coeur d’Alene’s hidden gems. Located a quick five minutes from downtown and tucked away into it’s own special corner, most visitors don’t even know that it exists.
Because Lake Coeur d’Alene is right next door, most locals know Fernan Lake as the place to fish. With only a smattering of houses and a road on it’s north bank, you won’t have any trouble finding a quiet nook to cast a line.
Long and narrow, Fernan Lake is deceptively large but likely the most under-utilized amenity in the region.
To get there, just head east on Sherman Avenue from Downtown.
